On the doorstep of Blenheim Palace, Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum is the county’s only military museum, featuring objects and stories from people affected by conflict - from soldiers on the Front Line to ordinary people on the Home Front.

Engaging and interactive exhibits help you discover county stories that are surprising and moving in equal measure.  Discover Winston Churchill’s military background in the Queen’s Own Oxfordshire Hussars, explore the pivotal WW2 battles of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, and hear personal accounts of the liberation of Bergen-Belsen from soldiers and camp survivors. 

From 2023 you’ll also be able to lift the veil of secrecy around the world of spies and espionage in our new permanent exhibition, Secret Agents, Secret Armies. Can you decipher fact from fiction in the shadowy world of Ian Fleming, James Bond and real Secret Intelligence work?
