Woodstock welcomes a season of magic with the Festive Fayre and Night of a Thousand Candles

Shining brighter than ever this year, Woodstock in West Oxfordshire is gearing up as Wake Up to Woodstock plans its seasonal celebrations, promising the magic of Christmas, artisan shopping and community spirit in the town.

Now in its 8th year, the Woodstock Festive Fayre 2025 returns on Friday 28 November (5pm–8pm) and Saturday 29 November (10am–6pm), bringing with it an enchanting shopping weekend.

Over 60 artisan stalls will fill three beautiful historic venues along Park Street – St Mary Magdalene Church, The Oxfordshire Museum and The Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum. Each offering a huge selection of fine food and drink, jewellery, crafts, artwork, accessories and unique gifts.

Nickie Rogan, Chair of local business association, Wake Up to Woodstock, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to our lovely Christmas weekend. Visitors can enjoy late-night shopping in Woodstock’s independent boutiques on Saturday, and choose from a fantastic range of eateries, cafés, pubs, hotels and restaurants. It’s the perfect setting for festive meals, nights out or an overnight stay in a picturesque market town.”

As a non-profit association dedicated to supporting the town’s economy, Wake Up to Woodstock continues its mission of showcasing what Woodstock has to offer, from shopping and dining to accommodation, and events.

It’s also proud to announce its support from Breckon & Breckon as headline sponsor of Woodstock Festive Fayre, as one of Oxfordshire’s most respected independent estate agents.

Festivities continue on Saturday 29 November, when the Town Square hosts a ‘Night of a Thousand Candles’ – 5.30pm–7pm. Visitors are invited to gather for an unforgettable evening of music, food and drinks as the Christmas lights are officially switched on. This magical event is free to attend and welcomes families, friends, neighbours and visitors from near and far.

Wake Up to Woodstock warmly invites everyone to start the season and experience the charm, history and festive sparkle!
